Product description
This pair of hourglass gloves was made in the style from the middle of the 14th to the beginning of the 15th century and is said to have been worn by the knights and soldiers of the 100-year war between France and Great Britain. The hourglass design offers excellent protection and wrist mobility, making it popular throughout Europe. The armored people from this period were not complete plate designs such as the styles from the 15th century, but the plate armored pieces were intended to be worn over a complete liabilities and offer extra protection for the front of the chest and arms. The gloves have a steel thickness of 1.6 mm, making them suitable for re-enactment fights. The leather inner gloves are stitched at the tops of the fingers of the glove, making them easy to remove and/or replace them as desired. The wearing comfort is guaranteed by integrated, riveted gloves of soft suede and sewn -in finger cushions of thick leather. Extra leather strips are sounded on the inside of the cuffs to prevent sanding. With each wrist, a sturdy, riveted leather belt holds the glove firmly in place, which ensures a safe fit during fighting. The belt is pre -poned and provided with a steel buckle, making individual adjustment possible.
