Product description
This great helm is based on an example from the Manesse Codex, which is now housed in the Castel Sant’Angelo in Rome. This type of great helm emerged in the mid-13th century, with the advantage that it protected not only the head but also parts of the neck. The helmet was cylindrical with a flat top and was worn by the European knightly class until the early 14th century.
This great helm is made from 1.6 mm thick steel and fits heads with a maximum circumference of 63 cm.
