This type of medieval boots was worn from the 2nd part of the 13th century. During the 15th century, these boots became so popular that the debated poulaine laws were introduced in 1450. These laws regulated the length of the poulaines and the degree of the curvature of the nose. In 1463, it became prohibited in Edward IV's England for citizens, knights, squires and noblemen to wear poulaines with a nose longer than 2 inch.
These boots can easily be fastened with the provided straps. They are available in several sizes and made of 2 mm thick cowhide. The soles are made of hard rubber.
