Product description

This single-handed medieval sword is a replica of an original from around 1310. The original is an Oakeshott type XVIIIa and is exhibited in the Royal Armories in Leeds. This replica has a full tang with a riveted pommel. The blade is forged from spring steel tempered to a Rockwell hardness of approx. 49-51 HRC, the edge and tip are blunt and the sword is suitable for light sword fighting, sparring and re-enactment. It is delivered including a beautiful brown leather scabbard made of high-quality vegetable tanned leather with hand-finished authentic details. The scabbard has a carrying belt with brass buckle.
