Product description
This sword is a replica of an original from the second half of the 13th century. The original is now part of the collection of the Metropolitan Museum, New York. A comparable original is the sword of Sancho IV of Castile. Swords of this type were made more pointed than their predecessors. This made it easier for them to be used for stabbing in addition to cutting. This sword has a blade of 9260 carbon steel, tempered with a hardness of 50-55 HRC. The tang construction runs through the entire grip and the pommel is peened onto the tang construction. This sword has a wooden grip that is wrapped in leather. It is supplied with a leather scabbard.
