This battle-ready sword is ideal for reenactment as well as for HEMA, Historical European Martial arts. This sword is a replica of an Oakeshott type XIV. Its pointed blade makes it ideal for both cutting and stabbing. The blade has 2 fullers for weight reduction. This Battle-Ready sword has a blade made of 5160 carbon steel, tempered at 50 HRC. The tip is blunted for safety and the pommel is brazed to the tang construction. This composition makes this sword an ideal choice for reenactment.
