Product description

New from Red Dragon (known for their high-quality HEMA plastic training swords) is this line of high-level historical sword replicas. These swords come with a leather sheath and are made of high-quality steel and hardness, making them suitable for intensive training.

This Teutonic sword is a replica of a 13th-century German sword. The Order of Brothers of the German House of Saint Mary in Jerusalem, better known as the Teutonic Order, is a Catholic religious institution founded around 1190 in Acre, in the Kingdom of Jerusalem, as a military association. The order was established to support Christians during their pilgrimages to the Holy Land and to establish hospitals. The members of the order were commonly known as the Teutonic Knights, with a small, voluntary, and mercenary army, serving as a crusading force for the protection of Christians in the Holy Land and the Baltic region during the Middle Ages.

This sword features a wooden sheath wrapped in brown leather with a brown leather grip. The edge is 1.75 mm thick. The blade is tempered and made of EN42J spring steel. It has a core hardness of 45 HRC and the edge hardness is 50 HRC. The two different hardnesses make the sword flexible and less brittle than similar models. This sword is a combination of excellent craftsmanship and years of HEMA experience.
