Product description

This luxuriously decorated saber is an accurate replica of the 1850 model US officer's sabre. The hand-forged blade is made from British military spec steel that can bend more than 20° and straighten again. It is made of 1065 carbon steel. This sword has a brass pommel and grip. The grip is covered with leather. The blade is hand-engraved with a leaf motif and "U.S." between the branches. The blade is etched with leaf motifs, military trophies, "U.S.", "E Pluribus Unum" and "Iron Proof." In the years before the war, many Confederate officers, including General Robert E. Lee, carried this sword during the Indian campaigns. This saber is supplied including a scabbard.
