Product description

A beautiful main gauche by Windlass Steelcraft based on historical daggers. The main gauche is a left-handed dagger that musketeers used alongside the rapier for a two-handed fighting style. This main gauche has several notches to block the opponent's blade. The basket protects the hand from the enemy's weapons. Musketeers wore the main gauche at the back so they could pull it quickly if needed. The basket of this main gauche is decorated with an engraved cross. It is delivered including a leather scabbard. The semi-sharp tempered blade is made of 1055 carbon steel with a hardness of 48 HRC. Great for wall decoration, for reenacment and Three Musketeers Cosplay. You can use the blade for reenactment battles and as a battle ready dagger for Historical European Martial Arts.
