Product description
Voiders were worn during the late Middle Ages on the arms and shoulders of the gambeson. They protect the open spots in the armour. A large number of voiders has been discovered and nowadays they are exhibited in several museums.
This pair of voiders is made of 1,8 mm wide flat rings with an inner diameter of 8 mm. The rings are woven four in one and subsequently riveted with wedge rivets. Their length is 65 cm, they cover approx. 46 cm of the arm and weigh approx. 3,5 kg.
