The process of making papyrus is quite complex and consists of 10 different steps. Papyrus was except for grain the main export product of Ancient Egypt.
This sheet of papyrus is made of Cyperaceae from the Nile delta. It is traditionally handmade. The process of this sheet was adapted so that it has a more antique look. The sheet measures 40 x 30 cm and is delivered excluding scrolls.
