Product description
This belt is based on originals that were worn by eighteenth-century buccaneers and Caribbean pirates. In Nassau, nowadays the capital of the Bahamas, the so-called Republic of Pirates existed from 1706 to 1718. This was a confederation of pirates with their own code of conduct, as a result of which they managed to cause a lot of chaos in the trade of the West Indies. In 1718, Governor Woodes Rogers put an end to this. The belt is made of strong cow leather and has a beautiful buckle with an antique finish.
