Product description

This replica sword is based on historical swords from the 16th and 17th centuries. The rapier evolved in the Renaissance. The rapier with its elegant shapes is the weapon of the musketeers. Wealthier citizens in particular carried a rapier or epee. They were weapons for duels, but also fashionable swords to show off their wealth. The rapier's successor is the saber. This beautiful rapier from Windlass Steelcrafts has a bone hilt with steel wire, for a good grip. This is a light, fast, elegant and deadly sword with a classic design. The rapier is delivered including a leather scabbard. The blade is forged from 1065 carbon steel and tempered to a hardness of 48-52 HRC. A beautiful decorative sword for on the wall or for your historical costume. If you blunten the blade, it's a great training sword for sword fighting or for Historical European Martial Arts. You can also use it for reenactment.
