Product description

The Roman Lorica Hamata is directly inspired by Celtic design, as the Celts are considered the people who invented mailing. The Lorica Hamata that we have decided to reconstruct here still retains many of its original Celtic characteristics, making it perfect as an equipment for Roman or Celtic cavalrymen, or even for Caesar's legionaries during the Gallic Wars or similar legionaries who fought in Hannibals armies during the Punic Wars.

Carefully handmade from sturdy 17-gauge unriveted flat rings (approximately 9mm in diameter), with alternating flat rings with round rivets. The rings are made of mild steel and are woven together in a 4:1 construction. This means that 1 ring is attached to 4 other rings.
