This sallet is made after an original from 1480 made in Nuremberg. Nuremberg was known for it qualitative plate armor that was exported to whole Europe.
Helmets like this are nowadays part of the collection of i.a. the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Wallace Collection in London, the National Museums of Prague and Vienna and Musée de L'Armée in Paris.
This sallet is made of 2 mm thick cold rolled steel. The neck protection consists of 3 flexible parts that give the head extra freedom of movement.
The helmet is provided with a comfortable inlay and is available in the sizes S (head circumference up to 59 cm), M (head circumference up to 61 cm) and L (head circumference up to 63 cm).
