Product description

A beautiful early model Scottish dirk by Windlass Steelcrafts, based on medieval and Renaissance originals from around 1500. The Scottish dagger originated from the medieval bullock dagger. The Highlanders wore the dirk as a daily tool and weapon. The Scottish dirk has also become a symbol of the Highlander's honor and oaths are sworn on it. The dirk has been worn daily by Highlanders for centuries. The grip is made of hardwood and the semi-sharp blade is made of tempered 1065 carbon steel with a hardness of 48-52 HRC. It is delivered including leather scabbard. Perfect for collectors, lovers of Scottish history and the Highlands. When blunted, the blade is suitable for reenactment battles and Historical European Martial Arts.
