Product description

The two-handed sword or longsword could be used with two hands and was an essential weapon for centuries. Swords like these were used during the War of the Roses in the fifteenth century and is named after the Battle of Bosworth. Two-handed swords were great for giving quick fatal cuts to the enemy, and cutting through leather armor. Additionally, it was loved for the forceful thrusts that you could inflict on your enemy with this sword. In short, this sword is a fast and capable war sword. The grip is ergonomically shaped and the sword lies comfortably in the hand, also due to the relatively light weight. See for yourself why two-handed swords were highly feared for centuries by their opponents on the battlefield!.

The Battlecry line of historical swords, daggers and axes was designed in collaboration with John Clements. John has unsurpassed knowledge of historical fencing and medieval and Renaissance fighting methods. All items are hand-forged by the forgery of Windlass Steelcrafts of high quality 1065 tempered carbon steel and are strong and resilient. The swords have an extra wide full tang and all weapons are sharp and suitable for cutting tests.

Each model has been put through rigorous physical testing to exceed industry standards. These battle tested weapons have a patinated finish which makes them look even more authentic and historical. Each weapon is individually inspected at every step of the manufacturing process, and only after passing the inspection do they receive the blacksmith's mark on the blade. Each weapon is delivered including a certificate, signed by all craftsmen who have worked on the weapon. Also included is a matching scabbard and, if applicable, a swordfrog.
