This loosely cut dress is made of light twill (100% cotton). The inserted gores (triangles) in the middle create a generous hem width. This floor-length dress can be worn as an overdress or underdress. The split neckline is typical of the early Middle Ages. It can be worn open or closed with a brooch. This medieval dress provides a good basis for all Viking costumes. Combined with a hangeroc (in a contrasting color) and a belt, you can create a complete historical Viking women's costume for reenactment and festivals.
