Product description

This replica sword is based on historical swords used by the Vikings at the time of the Battle of Stiklestad. This was a bloody battle in which Vikings fought in close combat. Olaf II of Norway was killed here and he was then canonized. The Norwegians still celebrate this every year with an open-air spectacle. The guard and pommel are made entirely in the early medieval Viking style, with a suede leather grip and brass edges. Not only is the sword pleasing to the eye, it also has excellent balance and is perfect for thrusting and cutting. The semi-sharp blade is made of tempered 1065 carbon steel with a hardness of 48-52 HRC. As a decorative sword great for your living history or Viking costume or your sword collection. When you blunten the blade it is a great battle ready sword for sword fighting and reenactment battles. It is delivered including a scabbard with belt loops.
