Wood maintenance: how to do it
Wooden products are not maintenance-free. Over time, the wood will become dull and dry, requiring regular oiling.
Cleaning
When cleaning your wooden items, never soak them in water. Dip a cloth in water with a very mild dishwashing detergent or soap and wring it out. Use the damp cloth to clean your wooden items. Be cautious with using dishwashing detergent on wood with a matte finish, as it may cause the wood to shine.
Oiling
Once your wooden items are clean, you can oil them. Hemp oil or other vegetable oils or waxes are excellent for wood care. You can also use some Ballistol for this.
Depending on how often you use your wooden items, it is advisable to oil them once a week or once a month.
