We have the largest assortment of Viking buckles in Europe! Discover our authentic Viking buckles and belt fitting. Create your own Viking belt for reenactment
Our Viking buckles are based on original buckles from the Viking era that have been found in places like Birka, Haithabu, Gotland, and Gokstad. Extensive research has been conducted on each Viking buckle with visits to museums and archaeological advice. These beautiful buckles are hand-cast in Germany from bronze, tin, and zamak. Most buckles have pins on the back. Use a leather awl to make holes in the leather, insert the pins through, and secure the buckle with the supplied backs. There are also very small-sized buckles. With these buckles, you can thread the leather through and sew the two pieces of leather together. When selecting a Viking buckle, consider the width of the leather. This way, you can ensure it will fit.
Our Viking belt fitting is also based on historical originals. The belt fitting is available in different sizes. Ensure that the belt fitting is not too wide for the leather you have chosen. On the back of the belt fitting, there are pins with caps. Make holes in the leather where you want to insert the belt fitting. Insert the pins through and secure them with the caps. Your belt is ready! There is also belt fitting without caps. These pins are thinner and can be bent or hammered down with a rubber hammer to secure them. The belt fitting can also be used to decorate hats, clothing, bags, and scabbards.
