Product description

This sword is based on an original from the 10th century. The original of this sword was found in Denmark. The sword is classified as a Petersen type S and closely resembles the Chertsey sword, which was found in the region of London, England. Petersen categorized a total of 22 Viking swords as type S, making swords of this type, alongside the Oakeshott type X, among the most commonly found originals. The original sword had the name +ULFBERH+T engraved on the blade, the mark of the well-known Frankish sword maker. The original is now part of the collection of the National Museum in Copenhagen. This sword comes with a wooden scabbard wrapped in leather. The scabbard features a belt loop and a chape.
