Product description

This replica sword is based on a historical 10th century sword found in a Viking woman grave in Finland. The pommel, grip and guard are beautifully decorated with motifs from early medieval Viking art. The decorations show snakes in the Urnes style with ribbon motifs. The luxurious grip is made of dark wood with a brass band in the middle. The sword is delivered including a beautiful luxurious leather scabbard with a Viking buckle and various Viking decorations in the form of a scabbard closure and a belt fitting. With this beautiful belt you can wear the sword around your waist in the scabbard. The semi-sharp blade is forged from tempered 1085 carbon steel with a hardness of 52 HRC. You can use it as an ornamental sword with your Viking costume, or display it for decoration to bring your home into pagan Viking atmospheres. When the blade is blunted, you can use it as a battle-ready sword for sword fighting in reenactment or living history battles. Also perfect for Historical European Martial Arts.
